We are approaching the final stage in ending the Russia-Ukraine war, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in an interview with local media in Davos, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.

"There are already points that are approaching the final stage in ending the war between Russia and Ukraine and, as a result, ensuring peace between Europe and Russia," he stressed.

The minister noted that there is currently an extremely dynamic environment and conditions are constantly changing.

“Two days ago, a military option regarding Greenland was on the agenda. After US President Donald Trump’s speech yesterday, it was announced that there would be no military option and that negotiations would resume. Six months from now, we do not know where the process will lead. We also do not know how the negotiations will develop,” said Fidan.

He added that a similar situation exists in Russia–Ukraine relations, and achieving a ceasefire is extremely important. The minister emphasized that if this happens, the region and the world will take a completely different direction; otherwise, the consequences will be different.

Hakan Fidan also warned that if these processes are not properly assessed, they could lead to instability. However, with the correct calculations, it is possible to navigate this complex period without suffering losses.
