Five students were pulled alive from the rubble of a collapsed school building in Indonesia, along with the bodies of five others, APA reports, citing CNN.
According to the information, authorities said that at least five people were killed, 59 were trapped under the rubble and their fate is unknown.
It is reported that rescuers were able to establish contact with a group of students trapped under the rubble and provided them with food and water. Excavation work is underway to rescue them.
It is reported that the school's prayer hall collapsed when the students, mostly boys aged 12-18 from low-income families, were performing evening prayers.
