"Unfortunately, the European Union does not want a ceasefire in Gaza," the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan said during a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart in Ankara, APA reports.

Minister noted that the EU and United States act according to what Israel determines.

He noted that the EU also does not accept strict positions on the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza: “The position they hold together with the U.S. is for Israel to continue the military operations as it wants. This leads to a serious crisis both in their societies and in the region... We have some proposals and we are discussing these with our friends. A permanent solution is needed to this issue. Israel and the West must accept one thing there must be a solution that will satisfy Palestinians too. Otherwise, the violence will continue to increase in the region.”
