"Haftar’s son (Khalifa Haftar – the de facto leader of eastern Libya-ed.) is in contact with our intelligence, and he is also occasionally in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In other words, they are not isolated from us," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told journalists upon his return from Qatar, APA reports.
“We believe that it is necessary to establish a constructive dialogue between the East and West in Libya. We want to preserve Libya’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political unity. We are taking steps in line with these goals,” Erdoğan emphasized.
