Jerusalem is the shared heritage of the two-billion-strong Islamic world, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Foreign Ministry building, APA reports.
“Let them continue to show their anger. As Muslims, we will not take even a single step back from our rights regarding East Jerusalem,” the Turkish leader emphasized.
Note that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Erdoğan, stating that Jerusalem belongs to Israel and will always remain so.
