We are very pleased that we have visited a country with tranquillity and peace. As my counterpart reminded, we have held effective meeting with the president, OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo told journalists after meeting with Azerbaijani energy minister Parviz Shahbazov.
According to him, Azerbaijan has significant role in agreement reached by OPEC and non-OPEC members. He thanked President Ilham Aliyev for Azerbaijan’s help to balance the output in the oil market during the most difficult period.
‘I thank Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev for proposal to hold one of the meetings of OPEC members and non-OPEC members. We are looking for ways how we can develop our relations with Azerbaijan within the balancing of oil market. We also discussed cooperation with OPEC and non-OPEC members’, Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo said.
