Flood continue to hit Agstafa

The flood yesterday damaged the part of Poylu bridge which connects 7 villages of the region, and today it is about to damage the middle part of the bridge.
Deputy chief of Agstafa executive power Ramiz Tatarov told the APA’s local bureau though flood washed the banks of the Agstafachay, measures are being taken for preventing threat.
“All the facilities in the region are involved and fastening measures are going on. Yesterday the representatives of Emergencies Ministry were on the site and calculated the cost of the damage. But the level of the water is rising. However, houses are not expected to be damaged at present, we have already prevented this threat,” he said.
Tatarov said, the flood also damaged an old railway bridge.
“There was a problem in the new bridge. Fastening measures are being taken in the site and this problem is about to be removed,” he underscored.
Tatarov said heavy rain caused rise in the level of the Kyur in Agstafa region and approximately 400 hectares of area was overflowed. The flow speed of Kyur is 1800 cubic/second at present. /APA/
