Azerbaijan sees 26% increase in bank deposits

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of June 1, 2010, the total amount of deposits in banks stood at AZN 4 679.9 million, up 26.3% or AZN 975.1 mln on a year earlier, 0.6% or AZN 25.7 mln on early this year, said the National Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to CBA, the household deposits made AZN 2 481.7 mln, non-financing organizations’ deposits stood at AZN 2 198.2 mln. The share of individuals in structure of the deposits makes 53%.
The annual growth of non-financing organizations’ deposits was 22.8%, while the household deposits rose by 29.7%. At the same time, the non-financing organization’s deposits declined by 5.2%, household deposits rose by 6.3%, from the early of this year.
