Attack on US embassy in Yemen

Sanaa – APA. A powerful car bomb exploded outside the U.S Embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, Al-Arabia TV channel reported, APA reports. The blast was followed by several explosions. Fire engines and ambulances have been sent to the scene. The embassy spokesman Ryan Gliha told CNN he did not have figures for casualties or know their nationalities.
A group calling itself Islamic Jihad in Yemen said it carried out a bomb and rocket attack on the US embassy in Sanaa. The group also threatened that it would target the embassies of Great Britain, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates in the Yemeni capital and demanded release of the group members.
