Benazir Bhutto to be buried today

At least 5 people died and 20 were injured during mass rallies in Kerachi city. 3 police stations, over 100 cars, 16 departments of state banks and 13 filling stations were burnt in the city. 3-day national mourning was announced in the country on the death of former Pakistani Minister, state flags were lowered, entertaining broadcasts were halted. Educational enterprises will be closed in the country during mourning days. Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto will be buried at her native village Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana District of Sindh, near her fatherâ€™s grave today at 1 p.m by local time (12.00 by Baku time). Mrs Bhutto’s body, accompanied by her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, and their three children, was flown in a military aircraft to her home province of Sindh in the south of the country hours after she was killed. Funeral will be held in state level. Security was strengthened in the country.

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, leader of Peopleâ€™s Party Benazir Bhutto was killed on December 27 in a suicide attack at a campaign rally. The explosion took place today as Bhutto left a rally in Rawalpindi, near the capital, Islamabad, minutes after a speech to thousands of supporters. Bhutto suffered bullet wounds in the aftermath of the bomb attack. Bhutto was shot in the neck and chest by the attacker. She was critically wounded and rushed into emergency surgery, but doctors could not save her life. 26 more people were killed and 90 injured during the incident. She died at 18.16. The former Pakistani prime minister survived a previous dual bombing on her arrival home from eight years in exile in October, nearly 140 were killed as a result of it.
She was the first Prime Minister in Muslim world. Her father Zulfugar Ali Bhutto took posts of president and Prime Minister of the country at times.
