Poland and U.S agree on principle on missile defense

The Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice stated it in joint press conference. Radek Sikorski said that United States supported official Warsawâ€™s demand on air defense modernization in Poland. He stressed that negotiators would continue to work on the details of an agreement that would allow the United States to install 10 interceptors as part of a missile defense system.
â€œ"We have an agreement in principle. There is still a great deal of work for our experts," he added.
â€œThe United States very much supports the modernization of the forces of the alliance. We understand that there is a desire for defense modernization in Poland, and particularly for air defense modernization in Poland," Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said.
