Castro accuses US of ‘misleading’ the world about 9-11

Ailing Cuban President Fidel Castro, on the sixth anniversary of September 11, accused the US government of “misleading†the world about the attacks on New York and Washington saying it was a missile that struck the Pentagon instead of a hijacked plane. In a new article read by a commentator on state television, Castro said “it is known that there was deliberate disinformation†about the attacks against the World Trade Centre towers and the Pentagon.
“We were deceived, just like the rest of the planet,†said Castro, who delegated his powers more than a year ago to his brother Raul to recover from surgery.
The Cuban president said that “analyzing the impact of similar planes in accidents ... the conclusion is that no plane crashed against the Pentagon and that only a missile could have caused that geometrically round orifice supposedly created by a plane.â€
