Peruvian ex-president under house arrest

Chilean authorities passed a decision on placing former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori under house arrest, APA reports. Chilean authorities passed the decision to prevent his fleeing Chile to avoid extradition to Peru.
Ex-president is Japanese national and was granted asylum in Japan in 2000.
Alberto Fujimori visiting Chile in 2000 was arrested on request of Peruvian authorities.
