The British Embassy in Azerbaijan has organized a reception on the occasion of the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, APA reports.
The British ambassador to Azerbaijan Carol Crofts welcomed the guests.
Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, who spoke at the reception, said that for more than 26 years there have been relations based on friendship and effective cooperation between the two countries: "Our relations cover various spheres, including energy and non-energy. Great Britain is the largest investor in Azerbaijan. 400 companies operate in Azerbaijan. The project of the Southern Gas Corridor, the opening of which was realized recently, opens new horizons in our cooperation and energy supply. The extension of the "Contract of the century" until 2050, the planned measures to identify new deposits will serve to raise the level of our relations to a new level. Both countries cooperate to ensure peace and global security. I am confident that our cooperation will continue to be strengthened."
