"Gender Outcome has a special importance for Permanent Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Nations. For the first time, we have been succesful in including this important matter as a seperate Outcome field in the Framework document," Head of Country Office at United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Farid Babayev said at the meeting of Joint Steering Committee of the UN-Azerbaijan Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2021- 2025, APA-Economics reports.
"The majority of these funds will be spent on the preparation of the relevant framework documents and combating harmful social norms and gender stereotypes. Promotional interventions to combat gender stereotypes and harmful social norms will also be in focus. Involving the population, especially the youth, that will return to Garabagh in community based activities, as well as the promotion of gender equality among the population affected by conflict are also among our goals. Our plans also include awareness campaigns and advocacy on child rights and women's empowerment, and capacity building trainings for refugees and asylum-seeking women."
