A republican conference on the development of cotton-growing has kicked off in Barda region.
The event is chaired by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
APA reports that a photo stand dedicated to revival of traditions on cotton-growing founded by Heydar Aliyev was demonstrated.
The head of state made an opening speech at the conference.
Thereafter, head of Barda Executive Power Vidadi Isayev, Deputy Director General of MKT Production Commercial” LLC Rovshan Hasanov, head of Tartar Executive Power Mustagim Mammadov, farmer from Bilasuvar district Fazil Musayev, head of Agjabadi Executive Power Shahin Mammadov, acting Director General of Azerpambig LLC Zakir Azimov, farmer from Saatli district Nizami Mammadov, chairman of Melioration and Water Economy OJSC Ahmad Ahmadzade made speeches at the conference.
The president made a final speech at the conference.
