"Investing in the fight against climate change must become a global effort," Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz said as he delivered a speech at the High-Level Segment of the 15th Petersberg Climate Dialogue held in Berlin, APA reports.
Scholz expressed satisfaction with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's presence in Berlin today as the leader of the COP29 host country: "I am glad to welcome you in Berlin. Today we will take a look at the achievements we gained within the COP28 held in Dubai, and at the same time, we will make sure that the COP29 to be held in Baku in November of this year can also build on this achievement. We desire to support this process on climate change."
