Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will pay a visit to Moscow on March 6-7, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing Thursday, APA’s Moscow correspondent reported.
Mammadyarov will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss relations between the two countries, according to Zakharova.
She added that the Azerbaijani FM will also have meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ilyas Umakhanov.
Elmar Mammadyarov's visit to Moscow will take place on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. The top Azerbaijani diplomat will also make a speech at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
