Baku. Gulnar Bashirova – APA. Vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova commented on how the cooling down of relations between Russia and the United States, the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, over Russia’s annexation of Crimea can affect the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, APA reports.

Muradova said that the inefficiency of the coordinated activities of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs has been repeatedly underlined in the past: “Taking into account what is happening, of course, reduces our expectations and raises questions about how the co-chairs are committed to their mediation mission. But I think these countries will reach a common agreement on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”

The vice-speaker said the different methods of pressure on Armenia for its aggression against Azerbaijan have been repeatedly raised: “Of course, the occupation of one member country of OSCE or PACE by another member state is the violation of international legal norms. It also means disregard and disrespect for these organizations to their values and principles. Ukraine events once again demonstrated that the frozen conflict should be resolved. Therefore, we proposed to discuss such issues at the upcoming meetings of OSCE PA.”
