According to him, a group of district residents visited the executive authority’s building over the price hike, especially the price of flour.

The residents were received by head of the Aghsu district executive authority Anvar Seyidaliyev and promised that the price hike will be prevented. A meeting has taken place with entrepreneurs in this regard.

According to information, although flour prices are nowadays on the rise, a 50kg-sack of flour is sold at AZN 27.50 at the moment.

The protest in Fuzuli district was due to price hike, Baghir Aslanov, the first deputy head of the district’s executive authority, told APA.

Aslanov noted that protestors left the area after the executive officials negotiated with them. “No one was detained or injured,” he added.

Stability has been restored in Siyazan, Zafar Aliyev, deputy head of the district’s executive authority, told APA.

He said reports that there are injured and killed in the protest are far from reality. “These reports are untrue. Stability is dominant in the district and everything is under control,” he noted.
