The extradition of Fuad Karimov, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan was ensured by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan, under the European Convention on Extradition dated 13.12.1957, APA reports.
Since reasonable suspicions were established that Fuad Karimov had committed crimes of embezzlement and fraud of duty by causing a large amount of damage, a decision was made to involve him as an accused person and he was put on an international search for escaping from the investigation and hiding.
Fuad Karimov was detained on the territory of Ukraine and brought to Azerbaijan on October 19 accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary service under the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.
