Ukrainian Ambassador presented copy of his credentials to Azerbaijani MFA-UPDATED

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samir Sharifov has met with Ambassador of Ukraine to the country Yuriy Husyev, APA reports citing MFA press service.

The Ukrainian ambassador presented his credentials to the deputy foreign minister.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

Ambassador Yuriy Husyev expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support to Ukraine, emphasizing his readiness to make every effort to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The parties also exchanged views on global and regional security issues.

Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan.

The newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, presented a copy of his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the Ambassador wrote on X, APA reports.

"Met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov to present copy of my credentials as Ambassador to Azerbaijan. Discussed Azerbaijan's continued support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as our commitment to strengthen partnership", Yuriy Husyev noted.
