"It is an absurd and biased approach that the France's Vigilance and Protection Service against Foreign Digital Interference (VIGINUM) accuses the New Azerbaijan Party of spreading false information on social networks and conducting a systematic smear campaign in connection with the events in New Caledonia," said Nurlan Galandarli, Head of Information Technologies and Public Relations Department of YAP Central Office, APA reports.

He emphasized that today, looking at various segments of social media, especially the X and Facebook platforms, we can see that the neo-colonialist policy that is contrary to the civilized values of the progressive world, implemented by France in New Caledonia, which is 17 thousand kilometers away from it, is met with serious objections and dissatisfaction, has been criticized by people from different countries, with serious protests and dissatisfaction.

"As for the allegation that Azerbaijan’s NAP's official social network accounts have posted about the issue, this is obvious misinformation and is completely untrue. The official social media accounts of the New Azerbaijan Party, as claimed, did not share "separatist-type news" or any false information related to the events in New Caledonia. We call on some media representatives who are circulating this false allegation to be careful, to follow the principles of journalistic accuracy when sharing news in the media and social networks, and not to spread disinformation," he added.
