There is a successful precedent of Georgia's mediation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said in a panel discussion of the Paris Peace Forum, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.

"Two years ago, we successfully mediated (between Azerbaijan and Armenia - ed.). This was the first mediation precedent we created with President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Therefore, Georgia is able to achieve these results," Garibashvili said.

The head of the government noted that the mediator between Azerbaijan and Armenia should be the country that both sides trust.

Saying that "if there is no trust, mediation will not be successful," Garibashvili added that "there will be no peace without cooperation, discussion and peaceful dialogue".
