Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations Igor Khovaev, MFA told APA.
Bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, activities within regional platforms, the current situation and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the existing situation, and recent developments in the region were discussed at the meeting.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided information on the negotiation process regarding the peace agreement project between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Additionally, attention was drawn to the fact that ongoing claims against Azerbaijan's territorial integrity in Armenia's constitution and other legislative acts are a fundamental obstacle within the process.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged.
