The World Bank in February estimated that $486 billion will be required to cover the reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine over the next decade — with costs likely to have increased since this assessment, APA report

The White House released on Friday the most recent draft from the Group of Seven (G7), which highlighted that the estimated damage to Ukraine during Russia's "special operation" amounts to $486 billion.

"Russia must end its illegal war of aggression and pay for the damage it has caused to Ukraine. These damages now exceed USD 486 billion, according to the World Bank," the document reads, APA reports.

The G7 joint statement also noted that they "are committed to raising the costs of Russia's war by building on the comprehensive package of sanctions and economic measures already in place." During the summit's initial day, the G7 leaders collectively agreed to provide Kiev with a $50 billion loan, to be repaid from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets.
