One of the important issues for achieving diversification in the Middle Corridor is the realization of the East Zangezur connection. We have managed to solve the issues that fall upon us in this direction., Fariz Aliyev, the head of the Transport Policy Department of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, said during his speech at the "Middle Corridor: Prospects and Challenges" panel organized within the framework of the Baku Energy Week, APA-Economics reports.
He stated that the construction of the Horadiz-Aghband railway and highway is planned to be completed by the end of 2027: "With the completion of this project, we will achieve both diversification in the Middle Corridor and an increase in overall transportation by 8-10 million tons."
