Deputy Minister: Caspian-Black Sea-Europe green energy corridor has great potential

The essential conditions and components exist for the implementation of the "Caspian-Black Sea-Europe" green energy corridor. The corridor has great potential,” said Orkhan Zeynalov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan during his speech at Baku Energy Forum held within framework of Baku Energy Week, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, there is both high renewable energy potential of Azerbaijan and a demand for the realization of this corridor, which will deliver electricity produced from offshore wind to Europe.

The deputy minister added that “Caspian-Black Sea-Europe" green energy corridor project is greatly needed and need for this will increase in the future.

According to Orkhan Zeynalov, the Central Asian countries also have great wind energy potential and in order to use this potential, appropriate negotiations and cooperation are being conducted in order to export green energy through the "Caspian-Black Sea-Europe" green energy corridor.

“Considering these, the implementation of the "Caspian-Black Sea-Europe" green energy corridor will be beneficial for all parties,” – Deputy minister noted.
