US mistaken air strike kills civilians in Afghanistan

Kabul–APA. Six Afghan policemen and one civilian were killed and dozens wounded as a result of US mistaken missile strike on Kalat region of Afghanistan. Police chief of the Zabul province Gulam Jeylani Khan said US plane stroke mistakenly on the police post during operation against Taliban, APA reports. US command said Afghan police fired on the American soldiers in the operation and therefore the post was stricken by missile. US Special Forces conducted raid in the small village near Kalat town. The Afghan police was not informed about the raid and therefore shooting took place between them and US forces which had to strike on the police post, said in the report.
