Bangkok –APA. Hundreds of activists of the oppositional People’s Alliance for Democracy seeking to topple Thailand’s prime minister seized Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi international airport terminal forcing cancellation of about 700 flights on November 25, APA reports quoting the world news agencies. The government decided to shut down the airport temporarily and to direct the arriving planes at Don Muang and Utapao airports. More than 3 000 registered passengers stayed at the Subvarnabhumi airport. The opposition tried to prevent arrival of Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat from Peru and to force him to resign from the post.
On November 26, four explosions heard in Bangkok. Four opposition activists were injured in the three explosions at the Subvarnabhumi airport and 9 demonstrators were injured in a explosion at the Don Muang airport where Prime Minister Wongsawat set up temporary offices.
