Washington–APA. US police arrested 76-year old woman for 73rd time. The authorities are trying to make clear the real identity of the woman, who used different names during her 36-year thievish career, APA reports quoting the Associated Press. She is a target in the investigation now as Catherine Kelly.
Manhattan court officially indicted her, but did not announce the substance of indictment. She is suspected in robbing of police officer in one of the New York supermarkets. Kelly was arrested for the first time in 1971 under the name of Charlotte Martinelli for counterfeiting. She was arrested in the different times in Brookline, Manhattan and Long Island. Her age and place of residence are also not clear. Her lawyer claims that his client has mental problems. Kelly’s trial was appointed to November 17.
