Denver –APA. Senator Barack Obama accepted the Democratic presidential nomination on Thursday night, promising to repair "the broken politics of Washington" in his address to audience of 84000 at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, APA reports.
He painted a grim picture of economic hardship: rising unemployment, falling wages, plunging home values and rising costs for gasoline and college tuition. “This is one of the decisive moments for our country – we face with economic crisis, the country is at war and its future is threatened. These problems were created as a result of wrong policy of Washington”. "Tonight," Obama said, "I say to the American people, to Democrats and Republicans and Independents across this great land — enough! This moment — this election — is our chance to keep, in the 21st century, the American promise alive."
Obama said his rival John McCain didn’t express interests of ordinary Americans. "I don’t believe that Senator McCain doesn’t care what’s going on in the lives of Americans," he said. "I just think he doesn’t know."
Barack Obama said he would put forward direct and strong diplomacy to stop Russian invasion against Georgia. “I will strength army to be ready for future conflicts. I intend to prevent Iranian nuclear weapon and Russian invasion by direct and strong diplomacy”.
