Arkansas –APA. Bill Gwatney, chair of the Arkansas Democratic Party, was gunned down in the state party’s headquarters in Little Rock. An unknown man visited the party’s headquarter in the evening on Wednesday and asked for the meeting with Gwatney. He shot the chairman in his room. The suspected shooter later died after being injured during a car chase with police, APA reports. Police is investigating the murderer’s identity and motives of the incident.
Gwatney was immediately taken to the hospital, but doctors couldn’t save his life. Clintons sent a letter of condolences to the Gwatney’s family. Former president Bill Clinton was a governor of Arkansas in 1978-1990 and his family was in friendly relations with Bill Gwatney’s family.
