A magnitude-5.6 earthquake struck San Jose, in the north of California this morning at 08.04 by local time. APA’s correspondent in California reports that the quake was felt in San Jose and around San Francisco. The aftershocks continued ten seconds, but anxious local residents went into the streets. There were some problems related to traffic and communication.
No injuries are reported, but several electricity posts in San Jose fell down. The windows of the control tower of the international airport were broken, but it did not cause any problems in the airport. /APA/
