Teimour Radjabov suffers first defeat in Grand-Prix

Baku. Kenan Hasanov - APA-Sport. Azerbaijani grandmasters haven’t performed successfully in last two rounds of Grand-Prix chess tournament held in Sochi, Russia.
Following the draws in round 3, Teimour Radjabov and Vugar Hashimov lost points in the next round. Radjabov was beaten by Pyotr Svidler from Russia. Hashimov made his fourth draw in the competition with Russian player Aleksandr Grishuk. Mohammed Al Modiaki (Qatar) defeated David Navara (Czech Republic) in the fourth round. The encounters of Ivan Cheparinov (Bulgaria) - Boris Gelfand (Israel), Gata Kamsky (USA) - Levon Aronian (Armenia), Sergey Karyakin (Ukraine) - Vasili Ivanchuk (Ukraine), Dmitri Yakovenko (Russia) - Van Yue (China) defined no winners. Cheparinov leads the competition with 3 points after 4 rounds. He is followed by Grishuk with 2.5 points. Azeri players have 2 points each in their scores. The encounters of Grişuk - Svidler, Navara - Yakovenko, Radjabov - Cheparinov, Yue - Hashimov, Ivanchuk - Modiaki, Aronian - Karyakin, Gelfand – Kamsky are to be played today.
