Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has met with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanian in Moscow, APA's Moscow correspondent reported.
The protocol part of the meeting was held open to the press.
Sergey Lavrov said he was glad to see Armenia's new foreign minister in Moscow, noting that they are to discuss bilateral relations at today's meeting. "I hope our meeting will be successful,” he said.
In his speech, the Armenian foreign minister said that in his new post he is making his first foreign visit to Moscow.
Then the meeting continued closed to the press.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has said that the Lavrov-Mnatsakanian meeting will also discuss settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
