Project on teaching state language to Azerbaijanis introduced in Georgia

A project based on innovative methods on teaching state language to Azerbaijanis in Georgia was introduced in the parliament’s building in Tbilisi.

APA’s local bureau reports that the chairman of the Committee on Human Rights and Civil Integration Sofo Kiladze said that all ethnic minorities in the country should learn the state language.

According to her, digital technologies are developing in the modern period and they are important in teaching of the language: ‘The new project can also be implemented among other ethnic minorities in Georgia’.

Kiladze said that her committee support the new project.

The project is planned to be implemented in Kvemo Kartli region, where Azerbaijanis live compactly. One of the partners of the project is Union of Azerbaijani Active Women of Georgia.

The presentation was held by officials of Kvemo Kartli region, members of Azerbaijani community and other people.
