Tbilisi City Court has issued a verdict in the case of Farman Jeyranli, director of Lancet clinic.
According to APA's Georgia bureau, Jeyranli has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Found guilty of fraud, the Azerbaijani doctor was acquitted on accusations of hiding and giving false information about life- and health-threatening problems.
It should be noted that the surgeon was arrested in May 2017 in Georgia on fraud charges.
He was accused of conducting illegal liver transplantation operations and appropriating large amounts of money from patients.
