An amendment to the law “On sanitary and epidemiological well-being” was discussed at the meeting of the Parliament’s Health Committee on Jan. 30, APA reported.
According to the bill, the Azerbaijani State Sanitary Epidemiological Service will not be able to inspect facilities of production, transportation, storage and sale of food products.
In this regard, “except for facilities of production, packaging, transportation, storage and sale of food products” are added to the paragraph 1 of the Article 34 (The State Sanitary Epidemiological Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan has the following rights) of the law. Thus, the State Sanitary Epidemiological Service maintains the power to conduct the inspection at other facilities, except for the mentioned ones.
The bill was recommended to the Parliament’s plenary session.
