The failure in defining mandatory medical insurance in Mingachevir and Yevlakh is due to the fact that process is being carried out as a pilot project in the two districts, said Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov, APA reported.

Ahmadov noted that when mandatory medical insurance is applied throughout Azerbaijan, the fees will be announced.

“These fees should be at such a level that the financial base of mandatory medical insurance can be ensured. Thus, along with the state funds, mandatory medical insurance fees should create the financial base for implementation of mandatory medical insurance. Secondly, mandatory medical insurance fees should be at a level acceptable to citizens. We are working on it at present”, he added.
