WHO unveils its SDG priorities in Azerbaijan for 2024

The World Health Organization has unveiled its priorities for Sustainable Development in Azerbaijan for 2024, Hande Harmancı, the WHO representative for Azerbaijan talked about this at the meeting of the Government-UN Joint Steering Committee on the implementation of the Framework Document on Sustainable Development Cooperation between the UN-Azerbaijan for the years 2021-2025, APA reports.

According to her, it is planned to strengthen infection prevention and control systems, vaccination, emergencies, primary health care and basic health services, and food safety in 2024.

“At the sme time, including explosive ordnance risk education, strengthening the national education system, vocational training capacity to ensure building of mine countermeasures skills, inclusive access and high-quality pre-primary and basic education, has been prioritized,” – she noted.
