Russia’s Buvaysa Saytiev wins third Olympic gold

Beijing. Elshen Mammedov – APA-Sport. Russian sportsman Buvaysa Saytiev of Chechnyan origin has won his third Olympic freestyle gold medal in Beijing.
The 33-year-old defeated Soslan Tigiev of Uzbekistan in 74 kg final bout. The only previous three-time freestyle gold medalist was the Soviet Union’s Alexander Medved, president of the Wrestling Federation of Belarus.
A six-time world champion Saytiev scored gold medals in 1996 Atlanta and 2004 Athens. He won his European gold medal in 2006 as well.
The bronze prizes were scored by Murad Gaidarov of Belarus and Kiril Terziev of Bulgaria.
