Baku. Javid Zeynalli – APA. Nakhchivan’s declaration as a capital of Islamic culture in 2018 would be a remarkable event, Director General of ISESCO Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri told reporters in Baku March 11.
“If Nakhchivan is declared as a capital of Islamic culture in 2018, it will be the second city of Azerbaijan (the first - Baku) which becomes a capital of Islamic culture,” he added.
[Nakhichivan’s declaration] is associated not only with the ancient culture of Azerbaijan, but also with the fact that Azerbaijan is an important partner of ISESCO, said the director general.
