AUL marks Constitution Day of India

The event was attended by Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sanjay Rana, member of India-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, MP Ganira Pashayeva, Director of the Azerbaijan National Culinary Center Tahir Amiraslanov, representatives of the Indian center operating under AUL, members of Azerbaijani-Indian Association and the personnel and students of the university.

Delivering a keynote speech, Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sanjay Rana spoke about the Indian people’s struggle for the adoption of the Constitution.

He said that this document, which was adopted thanks to the efforts of freedom fighters led by Mahatma Gandhi, is of great importance in the history of the Indian people.

Member of India-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, MP Ganira Pashayeva congratulated the Indian people on the occasion of the Day of Constitution.

Recalling her recent visit to India, the MP said that during the visit, she met with members of the Indian parliament and political figure Sonia Gandhi.

The MP mentioned that there is a great potential for development of the Indian-Azerbaijani relations. At the end, she expressed confidence that bilateral relations will further develop thanks to the efforts of the two governments.

Acting rector of the University Vazeh Asgarov said that an Indian center is functioning under the AUL and an Azerbaijani-Indian-Russian-English dictionary has been published.
