Bodies of missing Azerbaijani servicemen returned on international border between countries

Upon the request of the Azerbaijani state bodies, the ICRC acted as a neutral intermediary for the humanitarian operation agreed by Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilaha Huseynova, head of Communication Department of the ICRC Baku Office told APA.

The operation was carried out along the international border between countries. As a result of the operation, the fates of the two Azerbaijani servicemen, who went missing on June 23, were determined.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on June 25 that the bodies of two Azerbaijani extended servicemen – junior sergeants Musa Musayev and Tural Yolchuyev, who disappeared in a forested mountainous area on the contact line on the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Azerbaijan's Gazakh district, were found in mined area on the opposite side of the contact line.
