Volume of drugs withdrawn from illegal trafficking in Azerbaijan last year made public

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. Law enforcement agencies recorded 3,349 cases in the fight against drug trafficking in Azerbaijan in 2014.

It was reflected in the report made public by the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, APA reports.

931 of the cases are related with the sale of drugs, 2 202 with their drug storage, 203 with their plantation and 13 with others. 1 ton 321 kg 288.658 grams of hashish was seized. 153 kg 948.443 grams of hashish (12%), 296 kg 126.546 grams of heroin (22%), 327 kg 140.538 grams of opium (25%), 487 kg 286.322 grams of marihuana (37%), 56 kg 899.469 grams of others (4%), 2 kg 549.108 grams of psychotropic substances, 0.1 grams of precursor and 20 grams of amphetamine were withdrawn from the trafficking.
