Man fired at Turkish Embassy in Russia, turns out to be Armenian

Baku. Anakhanum Hidayatova – APA. A man, who fired at the Turkish Embassy in Moscow with a hunting rifle, turned out to be an Armenian.

APA reports quoting “Moskovskiy Kosmolets” that 43-year-old General Manager of "Dobriy Les" company Arthur Mirzoyan targeted the emblem of Turkey.

His both shots hit the target.

Though Mirzoyan wanted to escape, the police arrested him.

He hasn’t revealed the motives of the incident.

According to the police, the reason of the incident is the feud between the Armenian and Turkish nations that has been ongoing for centuries and recently deteriorated as a result of the tension on the contact line of the Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.

Baku. Rufat Ahmadzada – APA. A man with a hunting rifle has fired at the Turkish Embassy in Moscow, said the law-enforcement agencies of Russia, APA reports quoting ITAR-TASS.

The unnamed man was detained by the embassy security guards after he fired at the embassy building with a double-barrel shotgun.

No one was injured in the incident.

The detainee was handed over to Moscow’s law enforcement authorities.
