Ministry of Emergency Situations issues statement on fire in oil tank in Baku - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED - 3

APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry that as a result of the explosion, a fire broke out at oil tank of 2000 cubic meter capacity in Bayil settlement of Sabayil District, Baku. Oil residues in the tank burnt, tank was deformed due to the high temperature.

Tanks and houses nearby were protected from fire.

No one was injured as a result of the fire. The fire was extinguished at 10:40.

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has issued a statement on the fire, which occurred in an oil tank in Baku.

According to the statement, the 14th tank at the oil collection point of Azneft Production Unit suddenly caught fire today at 09:40.

Fire-fighters immediately extinguished the fire. No causalities were reported. Investigation is underway.

There was no loss of oil, because the tank was emptied on April 23

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has issued a preliminary statement on the fire happened in an oil tank in Baku.

SOCAR spokesman Nizamaddin Guliyev told APA that the fire was recorded in the central oil storage of SOCAR.

According to him, the reasons of the fire are still unknown.

No causalities were reported.

Investigation is underway. Guliyev said that additional information about the fire will be given.
