In March of this year, contraband with a total value of AZN 1 million 122 thousand 461 was detained at Azerbaijan’s border, the Press Center of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan noted this in its March 2024 information, APA reports.
According to the information, contraband with a total value of AZN 1 million 122 thousand 461 manats, including rifles, cartridges, US and RF currency, GPS, electroshock, fish, medicines, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products were detained as a result of anti-smuggling measures.
In addition, 178 kilograms 597 grams of narcotic drugs and 8,178 pills, which are considered to be powerful drugs containing narcotics, were detected and removed from circulation as a result of measures to combat the illegal circulation of drugs.
