Nigar Yagublu was detained on September 11, 2012. She was sentenced to pre-trial detention over the car accident that killed member of Musavat Party Aydin Ajalov.

Nigar Yagublu was sentenced to two years and six months in colony-settlement, under the judgment passed by Asbheron District Court. She has been deprived of the right to drive a vehicle for two years. An appeal has been filed against this judgment. The appeal hasn’t been sustained.
